Gemma seems to have it all-she’s carefree, pretty, and falling in love with Alex, the boy next door. She’s the one they’ve chosen to be part of their group. Strangers in town for the summer, Penn, Lexi and Thea have caught everyone’s attention-but it’s Gemma who’s attracted theirs. They’re the kind of girls you envy the kind of girls you want to hate. I wouldn’t say its my favourite book series, maybe my second or third fave.įall under the spell of Wake-the first book in an achingly beautiful new series by celebrated author Amanda Hocking-and lose yourself to the Watersong. I think I would rate it 4/5 stars, but I don’t really have a reason why. I didn’t actually have a favorite character throughout this series but if I really had to choose, it would probably be Alex or Daniel. The series consists of four books: Wake, Lullaby, Tidal and Elegy (it also has an extra bonus story called ‘forgotten lyrics’ which has never been published.) This series isn’t for everyone but it has its far share of violence, romance and drama. I decided to read it because it was recommended by one of my good friends and because it is written by the same author as ‘The Trylle Trilogy’ which I wrote a review on two months ago. I finished reading ‘The Watersong Series’ around a week ago.
